Individuals who have previously worked with MNCAMH are currently doing incredible work in their respective fields. You can see a full list of our alumni below, along with some highlights of their accomplishments.

FEATURED MNCAMH ALUMNAE: KAYLA WAGENMANN

“It was great working with a group of people committed to bettering the lives of others through community-based clinical training and research. I’ll never forget the passion my co-workers had for their work and the compassion they had for the populations they served.”

Kayla Wagenmann is utilizing her experience with MNCAMH to contribute to clinical best practices in health behaviors as a registered nurse in the mother/baby unit at UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. She integrates her previous career in mental health by serving as an emotional support for her patients and by ensuring that new moms have the help and resources they need at home when they are discharged.

Amanda Talan – Holds Master’s degrees in Social Work and Addiction Counseling. She currently focus on counseling students in postsecondary education.

Allison Ward – Holds a Masters of Social Work degree and is focused on clinical social work.

Jamie Fischer – Holds a Master’s degree in Social Work and is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Her interests include serious mental illness, first episode psychosis, and clinical research.

Jillian Wright – Holds a Master’s Degree in Integrated Behavioral Health in counseling individuals with co-occurring substance use disorders and mental illness. She specializes in clinical work with individuals who have PTSD and trauma-related problems.

Kayla Wagenmann – Holds a Master’s degree in Nursing from the University of Minnesota and is interested in the intersection between mental and physical health.

Tanya Line – Holds a Master’s Degree in Integrated Behavioral Health in counseling individuals with co-occurring substance use disorders and mental illness. She is currently working in translational research, intervention development, implementation and dissemination.

Michael Lee – Holds a PhD in Social Work with interests in organizational and community practice, health disparities among sexual minority communities, and community-based, participatory research.

Shawyn Lee – Holds a PhD in Social Work with interests in international adoption and in examining how queer and trans identities intersect with transnational transracial adoptee identities.

Scott Brownlee – Holds a Master’s Degree in Integrated Behavioral Health in counseling individuals with co-occurring substance use disorders and mental illness. Scott’s clinical focus is on treating co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders using a variety of person-centered interventions.

Ian McCloone – Holds a Master’s Degree in Integrated Behavioral Health and specializes in clinical care using evidence-based therapies for trauma, mood, and anxiety disorders, with special emphases on co-occurring substance use disorders

Veasna Pho – Is completing a Master’s degree in Integrated Behavioral Health for counseling individuals with co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorders.

Jennifer Simmelink – Holds a PhD in Social Work. Her research interests are in drug and alcohol use in refugee communities and post-conflict settings and culturally grounded mental health and drug/alcohol use interventions for refugees.
